On Saturday, May 4, California State University, Northridge student organization TRENDS presented the 4oth annual fashion show called Illumination in the University Student Union Northridge Center. The fashion show was created and produced by Family and Consumer Sciences Apparel Design and Merchandising students.

TRENDS presented a dynamic, professional quality show with a panel of judges including faculty and influential industry professionals, who critiqued the fashion lines and connected with students.

The winners of the show were:

Overall winner was Mahsa Azidhak, for her fashion project “Modern Femininity.”

First place was awarded to Mie Hamada, for her fashion project “Weekend in Tokyo.”

Second place was awarded to Vanessa Diaz, for her fashion project “After Hours.”

All winners were apparel design majors in CSUN Family and Consumer Sciences.

Azidhak was celebrated May 16 at an event at Bloomingdale’s Sherman Oaks, and the store donated 10 percent of tracked sales to the CSUN TRENDS Apparel Design and Merchandising student organization.
