With the California State University, Northridge community focused on the completion of finals and the upcoming commencement proceedings, the CSUN Softball team is ready for a culminating moment of its own: the NCAA Tournament.

After winning the Big West title for the first time since 1998, the Matadors return to postseason play after last making the tournament in 2007. They take on No. 7 UCLA at 5:30 p.m. at Easton Field on the Westwood campus (the first 100 CSUN students get free tickets). The first round is a double-elimination tournament that runs through May 17, with Texas and San Diego State also joining the Matadors and Bruins in a competitive bracket. The winner will emerge in the Super Regionals the following weekend.
