The Matador community rallied to make California State University, Northridge a Top 10 finalist in Forbes’ #MyTopCollege competition for the second year in a row.

The annual Forbes competition, which aims to show a school’s impact through its community’s social media posts, attracted record numbers with nearly 2,000 submissions, more than half of those coming from California State University campuses. CSUN placed No. 7 overall and third out of the CSUs.

The eight-week national contest encouraged students, faculty, alumni and parents to post about their #MyTopCollege to Twitter and Instagram, including their school’s social media handles. Submissions showed campus happenings, friendships, photos of iconic buildings and even CSUN’s silver screen appearances.
