For Your Information shares announcements of events, public meetings, notices, classes and deadlines relevant to CSUN faculty and staff. The submission deadline is noon on Monday, one week before the next post.

The deadline for the Dec. 7 posting is Monday, Nov. 30.

Commit to Be Fit

CSUN staff, faculty and students who want to improve their physical fitness are invited to Redwood Hall 180 from Dec. 7 – 5:30 p.m. to Dec. 8– 6:30 p.m. Commit to be Fit will help with weight loss and maintenance through exercise and nutrition. All participants must complete paperwork prior to participation at http://www.csun.edu/development/training/events/commit-be-fit

Lunch Time Express

CSUN faculty and staff wanting to exercise during their lunch break can come to the Student Recreational Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. Available classes are indicated by a red symbol next to the class name on the SRC group exercise schedule.

Working Moms Brown Bag Lunch

This event allows CSUN’s working moms to gather together for monthly support, advice and camaraderie. Bring your lunch and take a well-deserved hour for yourself. The group will meet at Moorpark Room, University Student Union from noon to 1 p.m.

CSUN faculty and staff are welcome to schedule a one-on-one with Thomas Huerta of Fidelity Investments to discuss retirement planning from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

VOYA One on One Advisement

If you are already enrolled in a Tax Sheltered Annuity (TSA) 403(b) with VOYA Retirement Life & Annuity or want to explore their retirement planning products, this is an opportunity to schedule a 30-minute individualized appointment to discuss retirement savings planning with a VOYA representative. The session is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at University Hall 165.

December Payroll Distribution, Dec. 18

December pay warrant will be distributed in the lobby of Byramian Hall on Thursday, Dec. 31 from noon to 2 p.m. A form must be filled out and delivered to University Cash Services by Dec. 18.

The CSU Catastrophic Leave Donation Program 

The CSU Catastrophic Leave Donation Program allows employees to voluntarily donate sick and/or vacation leave credits to employees that are totally incapacitated due to a catastrophic illness or injury, and have exhausted all leave credits.  Family illnesses that are deemed catastrophic, requiring an employee to be absent to care for an immediate family member, are also eligible for the CSU Catastrophic Leave Donation Program.

Any employee who accrues vacation or sick leave credits may voluntarily donate either of those credits to another employee
