CSUN’s Tech Fair Explores Emerging Trends and Technologies
The Division of Information Technology invites faculty and staff to join them on Thursday, May 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Student Union’s Grand Salon to learn about the latest tech trends at the fifth-annual CSUN Technology Fair.
“Our annual technology fair is a great opportunity for the campus community to gather and learn about trends and emerging technologies in higher education that can benefit our students, faculty and staff,” said Ben Quillian, associate vice president of information technology. “The event also provides an opportunity for our community to personally visit and ask questions of many of our strategic vendors.”
Three guest speakers will present at the event. Samantha Becker and Holly Ludgate of New Media Consortium, a Texas-based group of universities, museums and research centers that encourage the exploration of new technologies for teaching and learning; and Mike Robertson, an award-winning speaker and author, will discuss using technology for engagement and retention.Vendors at the fair will include Box, a leading company in online file collaboration; Lynda.com, a provider of online video tutorials in various subjects; and OnBase, a strategic enterprise content-management (ECM) solution. Representatives from Apple, Dell and HP also will be on hand to answer questions.
