“Jim Henson’s Sid the Science Kid: LIVE!” is making its first Southern California appearance on Saturday, March 8, at the Valley Performing Arts Center on the campus of California State University, Northridge.
The star of the PBS children’s animated television show, “Sid the Science Kid,” will be joined by his cohorts May, Gabriela and Gerald, and together they will discover the excitement and curiosities of the world during the 1 p.m. performance.
The whole family will be invited to join as Sid and his friends set off on a day of excitement and adventure asking questions and finding cool answers. Teacher Susie will be there to keep the music flowing as the characters interact with the audience to figure out the world together.
“‘Jim Henson’s Sid the Science Kid: LIVE!’ embodies every aspect of the mission of the Valley Performing Arts Center,” said Steve Thachuk, VPAC’s interim executive director. “We’re committed to bringing the very best in entertainment and education to our audiences, and children and families are one of the most important. Sid is a perfect choice.”
