On Feb. 7, the California State University, Northridge women’s basketball team had its annual Pink Game to raise money and awareness for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. The Matadors wore pink jerseys during the game, and fans were encouraged to do the same when they attended. If you would like more information about the Kay Yow Cancer Fund – which honors the late NC State women’s basketball coach Kay Yow – please visit www.play4kay.org.

The night also featured a special presentation for the Matadors, who received their 2014 Big West championship rings. On the afternoon, CSUN launched the It’s On Us campaign which is part of the public awareness campaign that began in 2014 under the direction of President Obama. It’s On Us seeks to combat campus sexual assault nationwide, and students were encouraged to sign a pledge to join the campaign as well as to get more involved on campus. Here are photos from the game.
