The future for the CSUN softball team is looking great as the team’s head coach Tairia Flowers announced that she has signed four high school prep players to National Letters of Intent which officially makes them Matadors. Pitcher Zoe Conley, third baseman Savannah Horvath, catcher/third baseman Courtney Horne and outfielder Elise McCarthy have signed up to suit up in 2015.

“We are excited to add these four young women to our roster and feel we have made our team stronger for the forseeable future,” Flowers said. “The four all play different positions throughout the diamond and add depth and character to our squad.”

Conley, McCarthy and Horne all hail from California, while Horvath’s current home is Nevada, where she was named Nevada Softball Player of the Year by USA Today.

“Savannah brings a lot of power and success at the plate to the team,” Flowers said. “She is a fierce competitor who should have pitchers in our conference on alert.”
