The core of public relations work is making sure that people know that you or your client exists. That being the case, the students that make up the California State University, Northridge chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) should all get A’s on their next report card — they just got word that their group — one of 300 student chapters in the United States — is the most successful in the Los Angeles area.

The CSUN students celebrated last week at the chapter’s first induction ceremony to honor outstanding members and welcome new members. Nearly 40 new and old PRSSA members attended.

“I joined because Dr. Lori Baker-Schena told me that this is a very great organization to kind of get your feet wet in the PR field, and they offer a lot of benefits, like internships and networking,” said Brianna McDaniel, senior public relations and religious studies major. “I also like the people.”
