#Matadors14
Soft, overcast skies greeted the first graduating class of 2014 at California State University, Northridge, as the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media and Communication started a celebratory week with its graduation the morning of May 19 on the Delmar T. Oviatt Library lawn.
Graduates from the Departments of Art, Cinema & Television Arts, Communication Studies, Journalism, Music and Theatre were greeted in an opening address by President Dianne F. Harrison, then later were asked by Provost Harry Hellenbrand, “Are you ready to rumble?”
That set off a series of hoots and hollers among the graduates, and set a festive tone to the morning ceremony that was the culmination of so much hard work. That tone will be reflected in the remaining commencements this week. Here is a selection of photos from that morning ceremony. Check back on CSUN Today for more photos from Commencement Week.
