Students, staff, faculty and community volunteers celebrated a sweet campus tradition April 13 at the CSUN Institute for Sustainability’s annual Earth Day orange pick. The volunteers harvested citrus from the campus’ historic orange grove, one of the last of its kind in the San Fernando Valley. The institute donated all of the fruit to local food pantries, through Food Forward — feeding thousands of local families. The CSUN Orange Grove is located on the south side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge. For more information, visit foodforward.org/events.
