CSU Reaches Agreement with CSUEU and IUOE on 2013-14 Salary Negotiations
The California State University has reached agreement with the California State University Employees Union (CSUEU) and the International Union of Operating Engineers over the 2013-14 salary re-opener negotiations. CSUEU represented employees will receive a salary increase that is the greater of 1.34 percent of annual base salary or $40 per month. IUOE represented employees will receive a straight 1.34 percent increase. Salary increases will be retroactive to July 1, 2013 for all employees. CSUEU represents more than 15,000 CSU employees including administrative and technical support and healthcare and service workers. The IUOE represents skilled trade workers at the California Maritime Academy.
“We are pleased to conclude negotiations with CSUEU and IUOE, and give salary increases to our employees,” said Gail Brooks, CSU’s vice chancellor of Human Resources. “After several years of trying economic times, we are finally able to provide modest increases to the many employees whose work has been critical to maintaining the operation of the university.”
With the agreements now in place for the California Faculty Association, Academic Professionals of California CSUEU and the IUOE, the university has reached agreement on salary increases for 2013-14 for nearly 40,000 CSU employees.
