CSUN English Professor Makes the Grade
Evelyn McClave, professor of English and linguistics and the coordinator of the Linguistics/TESL program, was just named one of The Princeton Review’s “Best 300 Professors in America.”
McClave has always been a favorite on campus. Even before elevating to top-rank status on The Princeton Review list, she had been a hit on the website ratemyprofessor.com, the most popular teacher-ranking site on the web. In a 2010-11 end-of-year ranking, McClave came in 13th overall. Her students have called her “thought-provoking” and “energetic,” and left complimentary comments, such as, “She will inspire you to really learn the material,” and “She is so lively and makes the material fun.”
“I’m grateful to my students who have said nice things about me,” McClave said. “I love them for that. I love them period, but I’m surrounded by great teachers. I see them. I know them. I know their level of dedication.”
