Jewish Music: The Soul of a People With Cantor Mike Stein
CSUN’s Jewish studies program presents a discussion led by Hazzan (Cantor) Mike Stein will present an overview of the history and development of Jewish music by playing the guitar, violin, oud and shofar.  You are welcome to join us in learning about diverse and exciting Jewish music from Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Africa. Music Industry Administration Information Session

The Tseng College hosts an information session at 6 p.m., for CSUN’s bachelor of arts degree-completion program in Public Sector Management offered in downtown Los Angeles.  The information session takes place at the Los Angeles Unified School District headquarters, 333 S. Come and learn about stars, constellations and planets visible in the sky during winter at “Spring Sky Show,” which takes place at 7:30 p.m. It is followed by “An Introduction to Eclipse Science and Travel.” General admission tickets are $6 for one show, $10 for two shows; students are $4 for one show and $7 for two shows.

Summer Session Registration
CSUN students may make an appointment to register for Summer Session the week of March 18-24.  The registration appointment will allow CSUN students to register March 25-April 1 for Summer Session classes, before open registration starts for the community on April 2.  The Tseng College administers Summer Session, which consists of three separate components of academic-credit classes that run-on campus and online May 27-Aug. 19.

2014 Outstanding Senior Award
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is accepting nominations for the Outstanding Senior Award. Four students will receive an award of $1,000 each in recognition for academic excellence, service to community and campus, and exceptional achievement or personal life circumstances that have been overcome. Winners will be presented at the Honors Convocation on Friday, May 16.
