A record 11,627 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree candidates were eligible to participate in CSUN’s 2019 commencement ceremonies. To celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating students across every college, seven ceremonies were held on May 17-20, as well as the Honors Convocation on May 11, all taking place on the lawn in front of the iconic Delmar T. Oviatt Library. The celebrations are highlighted in this photo gallery.

During the ceremony for students of the College of Health and Human Development and College of Humanities on the morning of May 20, Susan Burton, an advocate for incarcerated women and at-risk youth and founder of A New Way of Life Reentry Project in South Los Angeles, was awarded an honorary doctorate.
The new CSUN graduates join a network that includes more than 370,000 Matador alumni.
