CSUN’s Master of Science Taxation Program Ranked 25th in Nation
California State University, Northridge’s Master of Science in Taxation program was recently ranked 25th among the top Master of Science in Taxation Degree Programs in the nation by best-accounting-schools.com.
This comes after the department was recognized over the summer as the No. 3 ranked undergraduate accounting program in the nation by CollegeChoice.net.
“This recognition is a strong validation for the Grad Tax program and a strong endorsement of the hard work our faculty, staff, alumni and advisory board members, who have contributed so much,” Rafael Efrat, professor and Bookstein Institute director. “It’s important and critical on a number of levels, the first being that the accomplishment and prestige has happened in such a short period of time.”
The graduate taxation program, which has been at CSUN since 2005, is an 18-month program offered through the Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.
According to Efrat, the program has an 80 percent on-time graduation rate. Classes typically have 30-35 students and are designed in a way where networking and bonding is encouraged.
