CSUN’s Teenage Drama Workshop Kicks-off their Performance Series at the Madrid Theatre’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
California State University, Northridge’s Teenage Drama Workshop (TADW) began their summer showcase with performance excerpts from their upcoming productions, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.,” at the Madrid Theatre’s ribbon cutting ceremony. On July 6, the Madrid Theatre partnered with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the Valley Cultural Center, Neighborhood Partners in Action and CSUN’s TADW to celebrate the theatre’s new marquee.
An audience of mostly children and families, along with leaders from the community of Canoga Park and the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, enjoyed the TADW actors’ vibrant performances of some family-favorite stories. TADW has been an active force in providing a creative summer outlet for teens for 58 years.
