CSUN Summer Staff Celebration Highlights Another Great Year
In late June, California State University, Northridge faculty and staff celebrated the end of another successful academic year at the largest university in the CSU system. Hundreds of CSUN faculty, staff and their families attended the annual Summer Staff Celebration, held in the Student Recreation Center (SRC), where prizes were distributed, games were played and great memories were created.
CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison delivered a speech full of appreciation to kick off the event, and she bestowed gift baskets on several lucky winners during a raffle.
Faculty and staff members’ families celebrated together and enjoyed the festivities — having their faces painted, playing table tennis, climbing the SRC rock wall and shooting hoops on the basketball courts. Strength United, a CSUN partner that creates a safe environment for families victimized by sexual violence, also collected used children’s books and school supplies — all donated by CSUN faculty and staff.
