CSUN’s sustainability efforts have once again been lauded by The Princeton Review, a top college test prep and admissions company, which named CSUN in its 11th annual Guide to Green Colleges in October.

The 2021 Guide to Green Colleges is a free online resource that lists colleges and universities with exceptional commitments to sustainability policies, eduction and standards. Using data from a 2019-20 survey, The Princeton Review measured the sustainability practices on a “Green Rating” scale from 60-99, with campuses rating 80 or higher making the list. This year, CSUN scored a 96.

The guide profiles 416 eco-friendly colleges. Each profile includes the institution’s sustainable practices and amenities, including transportation alternatives for students, the employment of a sustainability officer, the percentage of food budget allotted for local and organic food, and more.

College profiles also include information such as tuition cost, financial aid, housing options, special needs admissions, student activities and sports, and top majors offered.
