Jack Kirby Art Exhibit
California State University, Northridge faculty and staff are invited to visit the United States’ largest ever exhibit of comic creator and legend Jack Kirby. The exhibit will be held at CSUN’s Art Galleries.

Rainbow Reception
The CSUN Pride Center and LGBTQ Alumni Association are having a rainbow reception in the University Student Union’s Northridge Center from 5 to 7:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet faculty, staff and students within the LGBTQA community. Refreshments will be served.

Happy Anniversary, Creative Media Studio!
The Creative Media Studio will showcase the work CSUN students have produced in the studio such as videos, music, art, graphics, code, photos, beats, apps and animations. The event will be held on the West Wing, Main Floor of the Oviatt Library from 3 to 7 p.m.

Walkability Wednesdays
Every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. CSUN faculty, staff and students can take a walking tour of various campus paths. A map and brochure with different walking paths for various fitness levels will be provided. The tour will begin at Santa Susana Hall 115.

Lunch Time Express
CSUN faculty and staff wanting to exercise during their lunch break can come to the Student Recreational Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. Available classses are indicated by a red symbol next to the class name on the SRC group exercise schedule.

Commit To Be Fit
CSUN staff, faculty and students who want to improve their physical fitness are invited to Redwood Hall 180 every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Commit to be Fit will help with weight loss and maintenance through exercise and nutrition. Faculty and Staff Yoga
CSUN faculty and staff members can take part in yoga from 11 a.m. to noon at Nordhoff Hall 106. Wear stretchy comfortable clothes and bring a mat.

Faculty and staff are invited to attend the annual Freshman Convocation at the Oviatt Library Lawn at 6 p.m. Author of the 2015 freshman common reading “Every Day” David Levithan will present the keynote speech.

Building Marshall Program
The Department of Police Services invite all CSUN faculty and staff who are interested in becoming Building Marshals for campus departments. The training course will provide information about being better prepared incase of an on-campus emergencies. The course will be held from noon to 12:55 p.m. on the second floor Training Room at the Department of Police Services.

Latino Americans: Prejudice and Pride
A film screening with special guest Lecturer Jorge Leal will take place at the Oviatt Library Presentation Room from 2 to 4 p.m. This film is one in a series of events scheduled to highlight Latino Americans: 500 Years of History.

Blood Wedding
The Experimental Theatre of the Valley Performing Arts Center (VPAC) will be performing Blood Wedding from Sept. 18-20 and Sept. 23-27. Doors open at 7 p.m. on all days except Sunday. On Sunday, doors will be open at 1:30 p.m.

Founders’ Day
The annual CSUN Founders’ Day celebration will be held at the USU East Conference Center from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Former CSUN faculty, staff and alumni will be honored at the event. The registration cost is $35 per person and is free for 50-year club inductees.
