CSUN’s Unified We Serve Collecting Goods for Needy Families

Campus Drive flyer

California State University, Northridge’s volunteer program Unified We Serve will be collecting new socks, underwear and board games for local families in need on Wednesday, Nov. 17, and Thursday, Nov. 18.

Students will be collecting donations between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in parking lot G4, located on the east side of the campus on Zelzah Avenue, between Nordhoff and Plummer Streets. All donated items will be given to Meet Every Need with Dignity (MEND), a nonprofit organization that aims to provide less-fortunate individuals and families with basic necessities.

The CSUN student volunteers are hoping to collect new socks and underwear in all sizes, particularly for men, and board games that can be given to children during the holiday season.

For the health and safety of others, masks are required to enter the event. CSUN students, faculty and staff must complete the Health Screening Survey found at the bottom of the Matadors Forward website, https://www.csun.edu/matadors-forward. Visitors are also asked to complete a quick Health Screening Survey, https://csun.sjc1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4UYv08Fu1kfqvv7, before visiting the campus.
