The beginning of the fall semester is coming up soon! Friday-Saturday and Saturday-only classes begin Aug. 27. Sunday-only classes begin Aug. 28. Weekday classes begin Aug. 29. Friday-only classes begin Sept. 2.

Important dates for fall, 2022:

Aug. 28, 2022 — Last day for nonrestrictive registration.

Aug. 29 — Late registration and schedule adjustment begin.

Aug. 29-Sept. 25 — You can continue to add, drop or swap classes or change grading basis (CR/NC) using self-service registration.

Sept. 5 — Last day to wait-list for closed classes.

Sept. 6 — Permission required to add all classes, starting Sept. 6.

Sept. 3-5 — Labor Day holiday weekend — no instruction.

Sept. 16 — Last day to be eligible for a partial withdrawal refund.

Sept. 25 — Last day to drop or swap classes or change grading basis online.

Oct. 1 — Federal Student Aid and the California Dream Act application period begin for fall 2023-spring 2024.

Nov. 11 — Veterans Day holiday observed — no instruction.

Nov. 24-27 — Thanksgiving Recess — no instruction.

Dec. 12— Last day of formal instruction.

Dec. 13-19 — Final exams week.

Dec. 13 — Grades available on CSUN Portal starting on this date and updated nightly.

Dec. 23 — Last day of fall semester.
