The first week of school is always exciting for many students at California State University, Northridge, with one highly anticipated event being the annual President’s Picnic, where the entire campus community could meet CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison and students could help themselves to some great eats on Matador Lawn.

Many booths were also set up from the Klotz Student Health center and other organizations that joined the event. Dozens of campus staff volunteered to hand out thousands of slices of Texas watermelon, hot dogs and veggie dogs to the thousands of students who attended.
