After two years of remote instruction and hybrid learning, CSUN is honored and delighted to celebrate all graduating classes from 2019-2022 at this year’s Commencement ceremonies in May.

To get you ready for the big event, GradFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 8-10 at the CSUN Campus Store and will serve as a one-stop resource for graduation information. Grads will be able to order caps and gowns, sashes and class rings, and learn more about the various cultural graduation celebrations on campus. Caps and gowns will be available for grads to pose for graduation portraits inside the Campus Store. In addition, the CSUN Alumni Association will have representatives at an information tent outside the Campus Store. All graduates become members of the CSUN Alumni Association, ensuring a lifetime connection for Matadors to their alma mater.

 Admission to GradFest is free, but registration is required. Be sure to watch your CSUN email for important information related to GradFest and to RSVP via Eventbrite.

To enter the venue, you must have your registration confirmation email on your phone or mobile device and already have finished your daily COVID Self-Screening. COVID Self-Screening information can be found on the Matadors Forward webpage.

Here are some important dates to keep in mind, as Commencement is fast approaching:

March 8-10: GradFest 2022 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., CSUN Campus Store

March 21-27: Spring Break

April 27: Deadline to submit recorded names to be used at Commencement through CSUN’s “NameCoach.” This can be found by logging into the student portal and clicking on myCSUNprofile.

May 13: Last day of formal instruction

May 14: Honors Convocation – 6 p.m., University Library Lawn

May 14- 20: Final examinations

May 20: Special Commencement ceremony for all graduates from Fall 2019/Spring 2020 and Fall 2020/Spring 2021 – 8 a.m. All ceremonies on University Library Lawn, unless otherwise noted.

May 20: Class of 2022: College of Engineering and Computer Science & College of Science and Mathematics – 6 p.m.

May 21: Class of 2022: College of Social and Behavioral Sciences I (Africana Studies, Criminology and Justice Studies, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology, Urban Studies and Planning) – 8 a.m.

Class of 2022: College of Social and Behavioral Sciences II (Anthropology, Geography, Psychology) & Michael D. Eisner College of Education – 6 p.m.

May 22: Class of 2022: David Nazarian College of Business and Economics – 8 a.m.

Class of 2022: Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication – 6 p.m.

May 23: Class of 2022: College of Humanities & College of Health and Human Development I (Child and Adolescent Development, Communication Disorders and Sciences, Environmental and Occupational Health, Family and Consumer Sciences) – 8 a.m.

Class of 2022: College of Health and Human Development II (Assisted Tech Studies, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Recreation and Tourism Management) – 6 p.m.
