“We are saddened to hear of the news of Murray Galinson’s passing and extend our deepest condolences to his family. Murray was an ardent supporter of the CSU and served on our board with distinction for seven years. During his tenure both as a board member and chair, he participated in the development of many historic initiatives including those that improved graduation rates and outreach to underserved communities. His legacy continues with an endowed scholarship he established in 2007 to provide a $6,000 annual award to the Trustee Emeritus Murray L. Galinson Scholar as part of the CSU’s Hearst Scholars. The CSU is grateful to Murray Galinson for his commitment and service to this university and for his devotion to students.”

Dr. Murray L. Galinson served on the CSU Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2007 and as chair of the board from 2004 to 2006.
