MEDIA ADVISORY for Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012: CSUN Police to Conduct Multi-Agency Campus-Shooting Drill
What: Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department- Devonshire Division, Los Angeles Unified School District Police, California Highway Patrol-West Valley Station as well as deputies from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department – Lost Hills Station and community college bureau will join California State University, Northridge police officers in a multi-agency exercise designed to test their coordinated response to a shooting on campus.
CSUN police Chief Anne P. Glavin, along with CSUN President Dr. Dianne Harrison and other law enforcement command staff will be on hand to observe the “active shooter” drill and evaluate how well the five agencies work together, and determine what they can do to improve their response. This is fifth time Cal State Northridge Police have coordinated a multi-agency training exercise.
